GrowthZone Merchant Portal: Run Your Payments in One Place

Written by Adam Wire | May 26, 2026 8:25:32 PM

Track every payout and statement in one spot with the new GZ Pay Merchant Portal inside GrowthZone AMS. Your association's payments now live where your staff already works. No second login. No waiting on a ticket. No piecing together reports to answer a simple question about your money.

For years, GZ Pay made it easy to accept payments. But running those payments meant hunting through emails, reports, and support replies. The Merchant Portal closes that gap with one home embedded where you're used to working.

With the new Merchant Portal, you can:

  • Review your balance, pending funds, processing volume, and recent payouts from the Dashboard;

  • Track payouts and pull statements anytime;

  • Pair with Fee Recoupment to pass processing costs to payers at checkout; and

  • Manage every merchant account from one place.

Let's dive in more to learn how the Merchant Portal can be your association or chamber's new one-stop shop for all things payments, making your life easier and enabling you to better focus on members and mission.

See Your Payments at a Glance with the Dashboard

Open the payments  portal, and the first thing you see is the answer to the question staff ask most: "Where do we stand right now?"

The Dashboard shows your balance, pending funds, processing volume, and recent payouts in a single view. Finance staff get a clear read on the month without having to export export anything.

This matters because most associations stitch payment data together from three or four places. A report here. An email there. A note from Support last Tuesday. The Dashboard ends that scramble. One screen, one source of truth, ready when you need it.

Stop Chasing Payouts with Support

Two questions drive a huge share of payment support tickets: "Where's my payout?" and "What's in it?" The Payouts feature answers both. You get a full list of payouts plus a detail view of every transaction inside each one. Arrival dates are right there. No ticket required.

Pull Statements Without Filing a Request

Year-end gets easier the moment merchants stop opening tickets for tax forms. The Statements feature gives you monthly statements and exportable transaction and fee reports on-demand. Download what you need, when you need it. Send it to your accountant. Move on with your day.

For finance leaders watching the bottom line, the Fee Recoupment toggle now sits in GZ Pay Settings, and its impact shows up on the Dashboard. You can finally see what the feature is doing to your net processing cost, which makes the decision to keep it on a lot easier.

Built for Associations That Take Payments Seriously

The Merchant Portal is built for associations and chambers with steady monthly processing volume. These are groups whose staff handle payouts, reconciliation, and member-payer questions as part of normal operations. If your finance director or executive director watches the P&L closely, this is for you. If your team has filed a ticket about a payout or a statement in the last quarter, this is for you.

The portal lives inside GZ AMS, reached through the left navigation. There's no new login and no context switch.

Pricing is simple: $25 per month, per GZ Pay merchant account, with all features (current and future)  included. One avoided support call comes close to covering the cost on its own.

Why This Lands Now

Merchant Portal turns GZ Pay into the payments choice associations make on purpose, not the one that happens to be built in. Combined with Fee Recoupment, it's a full operating layer for the money side of your organization. Less time on support tickets. Faster answers for members and payers. Better control over all things payments.

Payments shouldn't be a black box. With the Merchant Portal, they aren't.

How Pairing with Fee Recoupment Works

Fee Recoupment allows an association to pass credit card processing costs on to the member or payer at the time of payment. For high-volume organizations (especially those that bill quarterly or have a large debit/credit mix), this adds up fast.

Instead of the association absorbing the transaction fee on every credit card payment, the fee is surfaced to the payer as a separate line item during checkout. This reduces your organization's effective processing cost.

Think of it as the digital equivalent of the "convenience fee" you often see at event ticket sites or government payment portals. It's a transparent, disclosed charge that offsets the processor's cost.

More to Come on the Merchant Portal

Look for updates to the Merchant Portal coming soon. These will include:

  • Disputes and chargebacks: This feature will put the full life cycle in front of your team: open, respond, track, close.

  • Refunds: Soon, you'll be able to issue refunds directly from a transaction's detail view.
  • Action items: These will surface near the top of the dashboard, so missed deadlines or open disputes don't slip past anyone.

  • 1099-Ks: These will be available in the Statements & Reports feature on-demand.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Where do I find the Merchant Portal?

Inside GZ AMS, in the left navigation. There's no separate app, no new URL, and no second login. If you don't see it, ask your AMS admin, access is permission-controlled.

What does the Merchant Portal cost?

$25 per month, per GZ Pay merchant account. This amount is automatically taken out of each month's payouts so you don't have to worry about an invoice.

Does this change anything for our members or payers?

No. The checkout experience for members and payers stays the same. The portal is for your association's staff.

Is the Merchant Portal available on MemberSuite?

Not at this time. The Merchant Portal is available for GZ Pay merchants on GrowthZone AMS. MemberSuite is on a separate track.
