The French-American Chamber of Commerce of Atlanta (FACC) needed a more efficient way to handle payments for its many events and memberships. As a nonprofit organization, they run numerous fundraising events in addition to managing membership invoicing.
Before GZ Pay, processing payments was cumbersome. “We were using a system that wasn’t integrated,” explained Executive Director Katherine Lafourcade. “I had to always go backward and forward between what was happening in the payment system and then match it to the rest of the other system. It was basically duplicating work.”
The FACC decided to implement GZ Pay to streamline its payment process. The system allows invoices, event tickets, and membership payments to be handled all in one place, fully integrated into the Chamber’s GrowthZone database.
“We use the function for events that we do. We do a lot of events as we’re a nonprofit organization. So, you know, except for the membership, we run through fundraising events as well,” said Lafourcade. “I use the exact same system for big events, sometimes we’ll have over 200 people attending, and again, now the tickets can be paid for through the same system. It’s incredibly quick, very easy, easy to set up. A real, real time saver.”
With GZ Pay, setting up events and collecting payments takes just a few clicks. The Chamber no longer has to manage multiple systems, match records manually, or duplicate work, which makes the process far smoother for both staff and members.
Since switching to GZ Pay, the Chamber has seen immediate benefits. “Having GZ Pay streamlines the whole payment process,” Lafourcade explained. “When members pay their invoice, it’s put directly into the system: it shows up as being paid, I’m not having to chase people and things like that. It’s all very quick in a couple of clicks.”
Staff now have more time for member engagement and other chamber initiatives. “I have more time for doing other things that I need to do with the chamber, whether it be checking on member satisfaction, communicating about future events — it’s all the other things that go with the role at the chamber.”
Members also appreciate the ease of use, quickly paying invoices and registering for events with minimal effort.
“The system works really well, and the support is incredible,” Lafourcade added. “Whenever we’ve had things that I don’t understand or haven’t been able to find, the team behind the system is responsive and knowledgeable. We can do an online chat or a phone call, and there’s always someone there to really help us through.”
