The Challenge

With just two staff members supporting 500 members, the Carrollwood Area Business Association (CABA) was facing a tight deadline and a tough decision. They had 30 days to move on from their existing system or commit to a long-term contract that no longer met their needs.

Their current platform created daily friction. The backend was clunky, the website lacked true mobile responsiveness, and even simple updates required technical expertise. As Director of Operations Melissa Marison put it, “It just never worked seamlessly and was downright embarrassing from a viewer standpoint.”

For a small team trying to deliver value to members, these limitations made it harder to keep up or grow. They needed something intuitive, modern, and built to support both their staff and their members.

The Solution

CABA explored a range of options, from standalone website solutions to other membership management platforms. But many required too much time, technical oversight, or cost, which the small team couldn’t afford.

GrowthZone stood out for a different reason: responsiveness. “We were in a major time crunch, and GrowthZone said they could make it happen,” Melissa shared. “They gave me confidence that several of the other companies didn’t.”

Beyond timing, the decision came down to what mattered most: affordability, mobile capability, ease of use, and a partner willing to help them succeed. GrowthZone offered a path forward that felt manageable and achievable within their tight window.

The Results

In just 30 days, CABA was up and running—and operating at a completely different level.

“I have been extremely happy with GrowthZone AMS and the new features we can provide to our members,” Melissa said. “The team did what they committed to and got us up and running within 30 days.”

The difference was immediate. A fully responsive website and mobile app made it easier for members to engage, while enhanced member profiles and the InfoHub created new opportunities for visibility and connection. Just as important, the platform was easy for staff to manage without needing developer skills.

“We LOVE THE APP… and the true mobile responsiveness of the website,” Melissa shared. “Our staff does not need to be developer level to work the back end.”

Today, CABA’s team spends less time troubleshooting and more time focusing on their members while watching engagement grow in real time. “The GrowthZone InfoHub makes it easy for even inept users to navigate. It has been fun to watch.”
