FAQs – Alternate Payment Gateway Fee

To Our Valued Customers:

There have been questions about the alternate payment gateway fee that was implemented recently, and not everyone may have received the notices we sent prior to November 1st. We completely understand how this can be frustrating.

Although we do our best to keep abreast of the staff changes that happen with our customers, we do not always have the most up-to-date contact information. We are appreciative of your patience with us while we update our records. Please review the FAQs below for further information.

What is this alternate payment gateway fee on my invoice?

While we strive to manage costs wherever possible, we found it necessary to implement an alternate payment gateway fee for those customers that are using a third-party payment gateway (e.g., Authorize, Heartland, AffiniPay, Bambora (formerly known as Beanstream), PayPal).

The fee will allow us to cover the ongoing costs to support third-party processors, including the maintenance required for the related functionality and reporting within the GrowthZone/ChamberMaster/MemberZone software.

I do not have a third-party payment gateway — why did I receive a charge?

First off, we apologize for the inconvenience. If you were incorrectly charged, please notify our Accounting department at GZAccounting@growthzone.com to remove the incorrect amount and refund any portion that was paid.

We have a third-party payment gateway — what are my options to eliminate the fee?

We provide an integrated payment processor option, GrowthZone Pay, with all of our software subscriptions that eliminates the additional fee. Because this processor is integrated, we have internal cost savings, which allows us to pass those savings on to our customers.

Why Switch to GrowthZone Pay?

What are the GrowthZone Pay rates?

There are multiple variables that factor into the rates, so we recommend speaking with a GrowthZone Engagement Team specialist who can review your statements and provide you with a comparison. To start the rate comparison process, you can email three months of your current payment processor statements to ceara.bass@growthzone.com. After we receive your statements, our Manager of Customer Engagement, Ce’ara Bass, will process your request and provide you with the next steps.

How do I request a cost-savings analysis?

To kick off the process, all we need is your last three months of statements from your current payment processor. Email the statements to ceara.bass@growthzone.com. After we receive the statements, our Manager of Customer Engagement, Ce’ara Bass, will process your request and provide you with the next steps.

What are the steps after I request a cost-savings analysis?

After we receive your last three statements, we will send you a reply confirming they were received. We will reach out again within approx. two to four business days with the cost savings analysis.

How do I switch to GrowthZone Pay?

If you are ready to switch to GrowthZone Pay, please send your request to engagement@growthzone.com, and we will reach out to you to schedule a meeting. Due to overwhelming interest to switch to GrowthZone Pay, our team is working hard to process your requests. We are addressing those that have come in first and will get to your request as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
