For over 40 years, the NICOA has provided services as the nation’s foremost advocate for American Indian and Alaska Native Elders. A small staff manages the details while providing excellent customer service to over 2,400 members. In addition to their members, NICOA is a resource for 567 American Indian and Alaska Native tribes across the country and Alaska.
NICOA had a CRM platform that was complicated, expensive, and cluttered with more features than they needed. The system required a dedicated person to manage the software, and they didn’t have the administrative resources. The challenge was to simplify tasks specifically relating to managing member data, events, communications, and fundraising.
“When considering association management software options, our priority checklist included: affordable, user-friendly, and customizable software,” said Cheryl Archibald, Executive Assistant at NICOA. “We looked at several vendors, and GrowthZone checked all of the boxes within our budget.”
NICOA staff experienced a smooth transition to GrowthZone with the assistance of an on-boarding pro who became extended staff throughout the process. The partnership continues with the ongoing support of GrowthZone customer service and training.
Members are noticing the improvements when registering for events and receiving invoices and receipts. The pre-set reports make it easy to provide valuable information for board decisions and daily operations.
